Welcome to Minooka United Methodist Church.

Thank you for reading and adhering to the following building use policies:

*Our fee schedule is listed above.

* All payments must be obtained by cash or check two weeks before the event date.

*All building use requests will be submitted to the Trustees for approval.

* Fees are determined by your event time; there is no charge for set-up time. The requested setup time will be reviewed to ensure it does not conflict with other events.

*We accept requests for groups to hold consistent, continued meetings in our building. In most cases, there is no charge for this type of building usage; however, MUMC reserves the right to evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis. Long-term users will be asked to sign the Building Use Policy annually.

GENERAL USE

*Any alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or marijuana usage are prohibited anywhere on church property.

*There is a cigarette waste receptacle south of the front doors. Please limit any smoking to this area. Smoking is not permitted anywhere else on the property.

*No use of birdseed, rice, confetti or glitter.

*If you have to move the tables and chairs, please carry rather than drag them.

KEYS

* You will be issued a code to the lock box on the North door, which will gain you access to a key that opens the door. Please place the key back inside the lock box when your event has finished and you depart from the building.

*The key deposit will be refunded the next business day after the key return has been verified.

CLEAN UP

*Please leave the space in the condition in which you found it. Wipe tables, place garbage in receptacles, and clean the floor. A manual vacuum, broom, and dustpan will be provided.

*Please make sure there is no water left running in sinks or toilets.

*Please make sure the lights are turned off and the doors are locked.

*The custodial deposit will be refunded the next business day after building conditions have been verified.

Release and Waiver of Liability – Read Carefully Before Signing

The Church exists for the purpose of worship, education, and missions, and ministers to its members, constituents, and the people of the community. We open our doors to church members, regular attendees, and the community by permitting them to use our church facilities.

Nominal fees charged for use of the facilities and staff are meant to offset operating costs during your use of the buildings and grounds.

The Minooka United Methodist Church assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or injuries that occur while using the church's facilities, equipment, or the Church's grounds. Any group or individual using church property shall indemnify and hold harmless the Minooka United Methodist Church from any claim, suit, demand, or action arising out of said group or individual's use of the Church property or presence thereon. Any group or individual using Church property assumes the risk of damage or injury thereof and hereby releases the Minooka United Methodist Church, its trustees, employees, and agents from any and all liability related to the use of the property.

The person or group is responsible for the conduct of, and will supervise its guests, members, or participants, including children, while they are in the building or on the grounds.

The undersigned hereby expressly agrees that this release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Illinois and that if any portion hereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
