Serve
Help your community, support your church, serve God
Living Our Faith Through Action
At Minooka United Methodist Church (MUMC), serving others is how we put our faith into action. Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors, and we strive to follow that example through service. Whether it’s within our local community or reaching beyond, there’s a place for you to make a difference.
Appalachia Service Project (ASP)
Every summer, a team from MUMC travels to Appalachia to help repair and rebuild homes for families in need. This mission goes beyond construction—it’s about building relationships and sharing hope. No matter your skill level, there’s a role for everyone on this meaningful journey.

Scrip Program
You can support ASP just by shopping. With the Scrip program, you purchase gift cards for your favorite stores, and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to our mission trip. It’s an easy way to give back while meeting your everyday needs.
Helping Hands Food Pantry
The Helping Hands Food Pantry is a vital resource for families facing food insecurity. Operating with the help of local churches, the pantry provides groceries and support to those in need. Volunteers can help by stocking shelves, packing bags, or distributing food—every effort makes a difference.

Daybreak Shelter Meal Service
Serving meals at the Daybreak Shelter is a hands-on way to care for those experiencing homelessness. Once a month, a team from our church prepares and serves meals, offering not just food but also kindness and compassion. Join us in sharing love and hope with our neighbors in need.
