Who We Are

At Minooka UMC, we passionately affirm the inherent worth of all our neighbors as children of God. We extend a wholehearted invitation for full participation in our church’s life and ministry, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, documentation status, ethnicity, or any doubts and questions about faith and religion.

There is no judgement here, no dress code, no pretense – just an open-hearted invitation to join our inclusive congregation. Our Communion table is open to all, inviting everyone to share in the sacred meal. Children are not only welcome but cherished, their laughter and playful spirit enriching our gatherings. We invite you to experience the love and acceptance that defines our church and become a part of our found family.

New Ridge Road Location

We are thrilled to announce our project to construct a new church home at 1210 S. Ridge Road, Minooka is complete!

Worship experiences are Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome!

We're conveniently located just 4 miles south of Interstate 80 in Grundy County. Our church is on the east side of Ridge Road, south of Prairie Ridge Drive and north of Misty Creek drive (in-between the Lakewood Trails and Prairie Ridge subdivisions). Look for us next to the Minooka water tower!

Our camera mostly doesn’t show the slides (though we are in process of upgrading our system!), so I post them here. Hope this helps! […]

Short, fun video illustration for Trinity Sunday

Yes, I linked to this in the newsletter and yes, we’re watching it in church this Sunday for Trinity Sunday. But it’s just so silly, fun, and frankly, brilliant, I can’t help but share it here too. I mean, what’s the point of having a blog if we don’t, at least occasionally, offer fun content?? […]
