By purchasing gift cards through Scrip, you’ll help fund our trips to Appalachia while taking care of your own shopping and gifting needs.

Every year, Minooka UMC sends youth and volunteers to Appalachia through the Appalachia Service Project (ASP) to rebuild homes and bring hope to families in need. Each volunteer’s trip costs around $600, and Scrip is our main fundraiser to make these trips happen.

• Buy Gift Cards: Purchase cards at face value for groceries, gas, dining, and more.
• We Earn a Profit: Minooka UMC buys the cards at a discount, and the difference supports the ASP trip.
• Shop as Usual: Use the cards just like cash—there’s no extra cost to you!

How to Get Involved

Participating is easy:

1. Get the Order Form: Download it or pick one up at church.
2. Choose Your Gift Cards: Select from over 100 retailers, including grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and online shops.
3. Submit Your Order: Turn in the form and payment (checks payable to Minooka UMC) to Adrienne Hartmann.
4. Pick Up Your Cards: Collect your cards the following Sunday, ready to use or gift!
