The Beatitudes are the statements of “blessedness” that Jesus offers at the start of Matthew chapter 5. In these somewhat paradoxical statements, Jesus points to God’s will and kingdom values. Jesus teaches us a new way (God’s way) to experience a blessed and happy life.
